BBBY -2.9%, SCS +1.2% Following/Earnings Guidance
A gradual afternoon ascent helped the broad market slash its loss, but pronounced weakness among tech issues undermined the rebound effort. That left the major equity averages to settle with varied results.
After the close, BBBY, SCS, and FINL are the only notable names scheduled to report earnings results.
Futures are lower after hours: S&P 500 futures are -1.41 from fair value of 1237.71 and Nasdaq100 futures are -4.45 from fair value of 2245.15.
Tomorrow morning before the open, two economic reports are scheduled to be released: 1) Initial Claims (Consensus 380K) and Continuing Claims (Consensus 3650K) and 2) GDP – Third Estimate (Consensus 2.0%) and GDP deflator – Third Estimate (Consensus 2.5%).
