Diebold Up 8.2% Following Earnings/Guidance Results
Earlier this morning, Diebold (DBD $37.75 +3.00) reported fourth quarter earnings of $1.40 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.56 better than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.84; revenues rose 7.5% year/year to $850 mln vs the $841.86 mln consensus.
For fiscal year 2012, the company expects earnings to be $2.30 to $2.50, excluding non-recurring items, vs. $2.27 Capital IQ Consensus Estimate; sees revenues of +3-6% YoY, calculating to $2.92 billion to $3.01 billion vs. $2.89 billion Capital IQ Consensus Estimate. In the fourth quarter 2011, company repurchased ~250,000 of its common shares for about $7 mln under its repurchase plan.
