Late yesterday, the company reported a fourth quarter loss of $0.03 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.02 worse than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of ($0.01).
Revenues rose 6.0% year/year to $5.99 billion versus the $5.76 billion consensus.
Alcoa expects to see fiscal year 2012 global aluminum demand to grow 7 percent and are forecasting a global deficit in primary aluminum supply.
